FAQ
Questions worth asking before you hire anyone
These are answered directly, including the ones with an uncomfortable answer. If something here is not covered, ask it on a strategy call.
Pricing and scope
What does a website actually cost?
Conversion landing pages start at $1,497 and high-performance websites start at $3,997. Final investment depends on page count, content needs, integrations, custom functionality, and project complexity. A connected revenue system is priced as a custom implementation because it depends on how many tools and integrations it needs to connect. We give you a fixed number in the proposal before any build work starts, not an estimate that moves once work has begun.
Why is there a range instead of a flat published price?
The starting price reflects the simplest version of that product. Actual cost moves with page count, the amount of original content needed, the number of systems being integrated, and any custom functionality. Two businesses buying the same product can have different scopes and different prices for honest reasons.
Do you require a long-term contract?
Build engagements are scoped as fixed projects with a defined deliverable. Ongoing optimization and support work is billed separately and is not locked into a multi-year term.
What is not included in the starting price?
Paid advertising spend, professional photography or video production, and licensing for third-party software the business chooses to keep are not included. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before it is added.
Timelines
How long does a website take to launch?
A landing page typically launches in two to three weeks. A full high-performance website typically takes four to seven weeks. A connected revenue system with multiple integrations usually takes six to ten weeks. These are ranges, not guarantees, because they depend on scope and on how quickly content and approvals come back.
What is the biggest cause of delay?
Content and approvals. Discovery answers, photos, service details, and review rounds that take a client two weeks instead of two days will move the launch date by roughly the same amount. We flag this at the start of every engagement.
Can you work to a hard deadline?
Sometimes. Tell us the date on the strategy call and we will tell you honestly whether the scope you need fits that timeline, and what would need to be true on your end to hit it.
What is included
Do you write the content or do we provide it?
We write page copy based on the discovery process, using the information, offers, and details you provide. You review and approve everything before it goes live. If you already have content you want to keep, we work with it.
Is hosting included?
Hosting and the underlying technical infrastructure are arranged as part of the build and covered in the proposal. Domain ownership stays with the client.
Do you handle ongoing maintenance after launch?
Launch includes a defined support window. After that, ongoing optimization, updates, and monitoring are available as a separate arrangement described in your proposal.
AI capabilities and limits
What can the AI front desk actually do?
It answers calls and chats when your team cannot, asks qualifying questions, explains your services at a basic level, checks availability, and books or reschedules appointments. It hands off to a person for anything outside that scope.
Can the AI give legal, medical, or financial advice?
No. It is configured to stay within scheduling, general service information, and intake questions. It does not diagnose, advise, quote outcomes, or answer questions that require a licensed professional, and it is instructed to route those questions to your team.
Will callers know they are talking to an automated system?
Yes. Where required by law and as standard practice, the system identifies itself as automated and offers a path to a person.
What happens when the AI cannot handle a request?
It escalates to a person or takes a message and notifies your team, rather than guessing or leaving the caller with no answer.
Ownership and access
Who owns the website once it is built?
You do. The site, its content, your customer data, and your business records belong to your business, not to Cellara.
Do we get admin access to our own systems?
Yes. You receive login access to your site and the systems built for you, and that access is not withheld if the engagement ends.
What happens to our data and site if we end the engagement?
Your site and your data remain yours. If ongoing support ends, we will provide reasonable transition support so the business can continue operating the systems or move them elsewhere.
SEO and GEO expectations
Can you guarantee a first-page ranking?
No, and any provider who guarantees a specific ranking is not being straight with you. Search engines and AI answer systems control their own results. What we control is the technical and content work that makes a site easy to find, understand, and cite: page speed, structured data, clear content, and consistent business information across the web.
What is GEO and how is it different from SEO?
SEO is optimizing for traditional search engine results. Generative engine optimization is structuring and writing content so AI answer tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI overviews can accurately find and cite your business when someone asks a relevant question. We apply both, and neither can be guaranteed.
How long does it take to see search results?
Technical fixes can show up within weeks. Ranking and visibility improvements from content and authority work typically take a few months and depend on competition in your market. We report on progress rather than promising a date.
Reputation policy
Do you filter or hide negative reviews?
No. Selectively gating which customers get asked to leave a public review, or routing negative feedback away from the platform while only pushing positive feedback to post, violates the terms of service of major review platforms and is not something we build or offer. Our reputation process asks every customer for feedback and helps the business respond to what comes in, including negative reviews.
What do you actually do for reputation management?
We install a consistent process for requesting reviews after service, monitoring what gets published across relevant platforms, and helping the business respond in a timely and professional way.
Support and optimization
What happens after launch?
Launch includes a defined support window to fix issues and confirm everything is working as intended. After that, most clients move into an ongoing optimization arrangement covering monitoring, adjustments, and continued search and system work.
What if something breaks after launch?
Issues found within the support window are fixed as part of the engagement. Outside that window, support is handled under whatever ongoing arrangement is in place, or as a scoped fix if there is none.
Working together
How do we start?
Book a strategy call. We will talk through where your business currently loses opportunities and whether a website, a front desk system, or a full connected system is the right starting point.
Do you work with businesses outside Houston and Denver?
Yes. Cellara is based in Houston, Texas and Denver, Colorado, and works with service businesses nationwide. Engagements are run remotely, with in-person meetings available for Houston-area and Denver-area clients on request.
What industries do you work with?
Most of our work is with healthcare and aesthetics practices, legal services, home services, beauty and wellness businesses, rental companies, and advisory firms. If your business runs on inbound calls, forms, and reputation, it is likely a fit even outside those categories.
